Platform architecture

The HOOP project supports European cities in developing circular bioeconomy solutions using biowaste and wastewater streams. It promotes technologies such as anaerobic digestion to recover energy, nutrients and bioproducts. HOOP also provides a knowledge platform, best practices and technical assistance for municipalities. The project strengthens sustainable urban–rural nutrient cycles through digestate use and organic fertilisers.
