The KOS 2026 Conference brings together researchers, professionals and decision-makers to explore modern approaches to sustainable solid waste management. Key topics include circular economy practices, biological treatment, recycling technologies, waste-to-energy solutions and innovative methods for resource recovery.

Summer Schools | 22–23 June 2026
Ahead of the main conference, two parallel summer schools will take place:

  • The 8th PhD Summer School & Executive Training, covering circular economy, MSW technologies, anaerobic digestion, waste-to-energy and policy frameworks.

  • A 2nd Summer School on LCA & Sustainability, offering targeted training on life-cycle assessment and its role in sustainable system design.

Together, they provide valuable opportunities for early-career researchers, students and professionals seeking to deepen their expertise before the main program begins.

With high-level speakers, networking opportunities and a unique island setting, KOS 2026 is a key event for anyone working towards a more circular and sustainable future.
