BIOMETHAVERSE is a Horizon Europe project focused on developing innovative biomethane production pathways, including manure-based and agricultural waste-based systems. It aims to diversify the biomethane value chain, reduce emissions, and integrate local resources through circular processes. The project tests multiple new technologies such as membrane upgrading and biological methanation. Its goal is to help Europe scale up renewable gas production sustainably.

Dr. Maria Zachariou-Dodou is civil and public health engineer, with MSc degree from University College London and PhD in Chemical Engineering from NTUA in the field of wastewater treatment and reuse.
